CSV (Comma-Separated Values) is one of the most common file formats for storing and exchanging tabular data. Each line in a CSV file represents a row of data, and values within each row are separated by a delimiter (typically a comma, but sometimes tabs, semicolons, or other characters).
CSV files are widely used for:
- Exporting data from spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Database imports and exports
- Data analysis and machine learning
- Transferring data between different applications

CSV Viewer FAQ
What delimiters are supported?
Our CSV viewer automatically detects common delimiters including commas (,), tabs, semicolons (;), and pipes (|). The most common delimiter in your file will be used automatically.
Does it support files with headers?
Yes! The viewer automatically treats the first row as column headers and displays them in the table header row.
Can I view TSV (tab-separated) files?
Absolutely! TSV files are fully supported. Just drop your .tsv file and it will be parsed automatically with tab as the delimiter.
What about encoding issues?
The viewer uses UTF-8 encoding by default, which supports most international characters. If you see garbled text, try saving your CSV as UTF-8 in your spreadsheet application.
